Have
Americans become chronically dehydrated? Have they substituted
fast food and soft drinks for water? Our lack of drinking
water creates a weak thirst mechanism which is often mistaken
for hunger. Thus many of us replace that need with food instead
of water, natures natural to lubricate and flush our
bodies.
THE
NEED FOR WATER
Mild dehydration slows down metabolism as much as 3 %. One
glass of water can shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost
100% of dieters. The number one trigger of daytime fatigue
is the lack of proper amount of water in our bodies. Researchers
reflect that 64 80 ozs of water, consumed daily, can
ease back and joint pain significantly. A 2% drop in body
water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory and produce difficulties
in understanding basic math. Drinking at least 5 glasses of
water daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer, breast
cancer-the number one killer of women, and bladder cancer.
Over-weightedness, a symptom of the human body that has not
had enough daily consumption of water to transport the proper
nutrients to the cellsa body that does not consistently
walk enough, a body that is lacking of primary nutrition.
TREATHENING
HEALTH
In December 2001, the Surgeon General, David Satcher, stated
that 61% of U.S. adults and 13% of all children and adolescents
are overweight. These numbers will probably mean an explosion
if diabetes and heart diseases. Since 1980, obesity has doubled
among adults and tripled in adolescents and only 3% of all
Americans meet the federal recommendations for the intake
of grains, fruits, and vegetables. Research and controlled
studies by many health and dietary organizations over the
last 20 years have confirmed the vital role whole food plays,
on a daily basis, in weight control.
PRIMARY
NUTRITION
Whole food is closest to its primary source--nature. It is
Primary Nutrition. It is food that exists in its most natural
state such as vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, legumes and
whole-grains. Viewing the redesigned Food Pyramid, draw a
horizontal line right through the middle. Everything below
the line is most often primary nutrition, the way nutrition
experts are telling us to eat. Empty nutrition, the area above
the horizontal line, is the recommended, use sparingly category.
The human body knows what to do with Primary Nutrition. The
body uses it to feed, nourish, and energize itself. Research
indicates that most potent phytochemicals, antioxidants, cancer
inhibitors, cholesterol regulators, anti-inflammatories, and
brain-cell protectors are found in the brightest-colored pigments
in fruits and vegetables. Futurists are predicting that whole-food
nutrition is not only one of the most significant mega trends
of our time, but also promises that whole-food nutrition will
have enormous implications in retarding aging and fighting
degenerative diseases.
A SAVIOR
In 1997, Brain Garden, currently of Salt Lake City, a whole
food production company founded by Don Tolman is reinventing
the whole food industry. Tolman, a visionary who developed
Pulse, understood the crucial role of whole food in providing
the diminishing Primary Nutrition we crave in our increasingly
nutritionally starved diets. Since then, Brain Garden has
grown and evolved into what is now a unique and significant
organization with production in other countries as well; the
only company offering convenient, delicious and affordable
Whole Food Primary Nutrition. Brain Garden offers us a 10-day
Food First Program aimed at detoxifying the body to open the
pathway for primary nutrition. Food First is the combination
of the indisputable nutritional power of whole food, water,
moderate exercise, sunshine, fresh air, and plenty of rest,
in the ten-day period.
AN
ANCIENT FOOD FOR MODERN TIMES
Pulse, the basic component of Brain Gardens Food First
Program, is first noted in the King James Version of the Old
Testament in Daniel, Chapter 1. Pulse is an ideal blend of
24 wholesome fruits, nuts, seeds and grains, packed with essential
vitamins, enzymes, and all seven dietary fibers. It provides
complete nutrition for the mind and body and is available
in eight flavorsquite possibly, the worlds most
perfect food. Pulse offers renewed energy, enhanced natural
immunity, and lasting, healthy weight management.
PARTICIPANTS
COMMENTS (Reasons Why)
Individuals who participate in the Food First Program report
their experiences with Food First and their daily intake quantities
of all Brain Garden foods as well as other whole foods. Many
report increased and sounder sleep patterns, increased energy,
better vision, being able to eat natural foods that they could
not eat before. One individual reported the return of her
menstrual cycle after it had stopped for 21/2 years even though
she had tried many different medications to resolve the problem.
Another individual in peri-menapause reported no more hot
flashes, sounder sleep, and increase in energy while only
eating Brain Gardens products
