Attention partners, spouses, and mates! That wonderful and
often dreaded February holiday is just around the corner.
What plans do you have for you and your partner? Valentines
Day usually means that the best restaurants are full and
movie theatres will have long lines. Instead of fighting
your way to an enjoyable evening, why not remove yourselves
from the crowded streets and relax in the privacy of your
own home? Here are 10 ways to create a fantastic Valentines
Day at home.
10. WATCH A ROMANTIC MOVIE
This activity is a sure thing because that romantic movie
can set the mood for the rest of the evening. Most men do
not like sappy, romantic movies. So, ladies it is your job
to find a movie that expresses both love and action, while
cuddled up on the couch. Rent a movie that neither of you
have seen, so you can focus on what is happening in the
movie rather than acting out the movie.
9. MAKE DINNER
A perfect way to spend part of the evening is by making
dinner with your partner because food can be very sensual.
The best restaurants in town may already be reserved or
overcrowded. Be creative and playful with your partner in
the kitchen by making a recipe you have not tried or by
dabbing flour on your partners face as a joke. In
the end, you and your mate can set the table in an elegant
manner as if you were in a restaurant; only this is your
private booth.
8. ENJOY A CANDLE LIT EVENING OUTSIDE GAZING AT THE STARS
Weather permitting; take a blanket, candles, and a bottle
of wine outside to look at the beautiful starry sky. It
may be chilly, so wrap yourself in each others arms
and drape yourselves in a blanket. After all, body heat
is warmer than any blanket.
7. DECORATE THE HOUSE FOR THE HOLIDAY
Surprise your lady with rose petals around the house. Their
intense fragrance will sweep her off her feet as she enters
any room. For a big impression, have a path of petals leading
from the door to the bedroom when she gets home from work,
where she will see you waiting to kiss her. Another option
is to fill one of the rooms of the house with red and white
balloons. For added excitement, put a clue or letter in
each balloon and have her pop the balloons to piece the
sayings together.
6. REMINISCE ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Embrace your loved one and tell him or her how you felt
the first time you laid eyes on them. Look at your honeymoon
pictures or try to remember when and where you shared your
first kiss. Call the restaurant where you had your first
date and make a reservation for your anniversary.
5. SHOW YOUR PARTNER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HIM OR HER
Show your spouse how much you care by doing tasks that he
or she reminds you to do everyday, without being asked.
That simple action alone allows your spouse to realize that
you do pay attention. More importantly, give your spouse
little gifts that he or she thought you never noticed as
his or her favorites. You are guaranteed to get a smile,
and maybe more form your spouse by doing something that
shows you love and care about everything, even the small
things.
4. ENJOY GIVING AND RECEIVING MASSAGES
Touching and caressing your partner is a wonderful way to
start the evening or bring it to the perfect close. Massaging
each other with sweet-smelling massage oil or lotion in
a tender manner. On Valentines Day, there is no need
to work out knots, rather be gentle and loving.
3. TAKE A SOOTHING BATH
No matter what day it is, sharing a bath with your mate
is an intimate experience that releases bodily tension,
while romance unravels. To enhance the mood, light candles
or incense and turn off the lights, play a tender CD and
passionately look into your partners eyes as you slide
into the tub.
2. ENJOY A RELAXING CUP OF TEA BY THE FIRE
After any fun and games are over on Valentines Day,
make a cup of tea and unwind by the fire. Both the tea and
the fire will relax any tense muscles, while warming your
body and soul.
1. SIMPLY SAY, I LOVE YOU
You would be surprised how many people truly enjoy hearing
the three little words that mean so very much. At times,
actions do speak louder than words. However, on Valentines
Day show, as well as verbalize, the importance of being
with your significant other. Cherish your moments as if
they were the last because life rarely gives us second chances.
