final product as a company that began as Penfleur in 1999.
With a new sophisticated look and a mission to "reconnect
you with the moments that matter," Divine Basics
offers entertaining and correspondence essentials to help
women nurture themselves and those they love. Through
journaling, keeping in touch through greeting cards and
sharing large and small get-togethers, our aim is to ensure
you touch the people and things in your life that matter
most.
Historically, it is easy to see the importance of written
correspondence and the
written word. Impeccably preserved documents, like the
Declaration of Independence, effortlessly record years
past for future generations to discover. Beautifully penned,
perfume-laden love letters give descendants a hint of
ancestors long gone. A well-kept journal allows grief-stricken
parents to savor the gift of a treasured child’s
all-too-short life.
But as progress is made and technology advances, we
seem to lose touch with The Art of the Written Word. Though
historical documents are more prevalent, the
tradition of capturing our personal lives seems to fall
by the wayside. A quickly typed email now gives way to
thoughtful thank you notes received in the mail. A phone
call may replace a birthday poem; and computer-generated
cards, labels and signatures replace the anticipated Christmas
card with heartfelt, handwritten wishes.
As technology makes our lives
easier, if somewhat colder, people yearn for the warmth
they may not consciously realize is missing. What is more

how brief) note at your door? Or being able to express
